Synopsis: The film is based on the life of Helen Keller. Annie Sullivan, her dedicated and patient teacher, struggles to reach her blind/deaf/dumb pupil. Stars Patty Duke as Ms. Sullivan; Ms. Duke played Helen Keller in the original 1962 theatrical film of the same title, for which she won the Academy Award. Melissa Gilbert (“Little House on the Prairie”) stars as Helen Keller. This film produced a TV sequel, Helen Keller: The Miracle Continues in 1984.
